NOOK/ANNA 96
Hi, Guys just wanted to know your views on different dry meal types on offer for your dog's? Ive seen a few topics on this site asking what greyhound meal is best for your dog and protien content etc. But i was just wondering would a working dog meal with a slightly lower protien content an extra carbohydrates benifit a working lurcher better? As the needs are differnt as a lurcher is expected to run multiple times in an outing where as a greyhound races once or twice a week max. Rainmaker 7
Most of the 'greyhound' foods are just full of crap mate, you only have to read the ingredients to see that. At any rate, high protein, high fat and low (or even zero) carbohydrate is proven to provide for more endurance and stamina, AND faster running times. You might find my post in THIS thread relevant.
